Yes, most do grade 69. From the images and the coin being out of the mint holder, I didn't see it doing 69.
No no no. Do both.
Sounds right Marshall. Thanks. I'm guessing on these. Please correct me if I'm wrong. S-267 [IMG] [IMG] S-270 [IMG] [IMG] S-271 [IMG] [IMG]

Never do this. It is not safe for coins. Say what you will but long term collectors know better.

I would guess someone was practicing. The color is the same as when I found it over 30 years back.
I don't think it's a proof. The rims don't look right and there is not enough detail.
Looks real to me.
The images are a bit dark but I would guess it grades AU something. Nice coin.
Acetone bath but the color of the surface of the coin under the red may not match the rest of the coin.
First off, no q-tips. Did they know it was a proof when they said that? A few baths in acetone will remove it without any contact with the coin....
Maybe just the scan but I'm thinking cast copy. Hope I'm wrong.
Every year and mint mark is a different story. The grade of the coin is what sets the value based on that year and mint mark. We are just guessing...
No need to close the thread. Everyone has spoke an opinion and should move on to the topic of the thread. There are some really cool coins in this...
I'll guess 67 from the image.
