It's just a damaged coin. Sorry but it's what it is.
The coin has been messed with to the point that I don't feel it would grade. Better images might change my mind but the luster is dead in...
I never knew this coin was out there. really cool.
There is no way that coin would ever make it into an MS holder. AU 50 at best. It's been handled to much.
I would sell it as is but tell folks that you don't feel the grade is correct. The current holder is keeping the coin safe. Better than nothing.
You take some nice images Mike.
I don't feel this coin is a good choice to work on. It's nice just the way it is.
Yes it is SW. You are correct.
I'll go 45 or 50. Nice cent. I love this color on copper.
I know better than to reply in this thread but I will. The coin was damaged after the minting process. It's not possible to be sure of what caused...

I don't mind saying how I came up with 66. The obverse has a few hits but only one of any size. Not enough to call it a 65. The luster is good but...
Do you have an image of the reverse?
Insults don't make your point. Please tell us why you grade this coin at 62.
I can't see this coin ever making it into an MS folder with NGC or PCGS. It looks maxed out at 58.
Great looking Texas. One of my favorite designs.
