Nice die break. Pretty long and easily recognizable. I would keep it.
The 1943 planchet split error is pretty wild. Nice.
Looks like a die chip to me also. Interesting it feels like a wall-mounted flag pole at the building.
Looks like a scratch and coin banging marks to me. Let's hear what others say.
Unfortunately the coin is not off-center. Maybe just a very minor MAD in obverse.
"Metal forced down"... it could be a "folded rim burr" planchet error.
Sure look like Damaged Post Mint.
+1 vote for PMD.
Imagine what crazy things the quarter had gone through after it left the Mint... :(
Welcome to CT. It could be struck through grease.
Surely would need more photos to see what the strike through is. On the other hand, a 2009 state quarter error is quite rare, imo. Haven't seen...
Congrats to your new addition. Greek currency designs are very nice, especially banknotes. As for your coin, I think you'll eventually upgrade....
Nice small lamination.
Welcome to CT! Agree with others that the quarter has Post Mint Damage (PMD). A spender.
+1 rolling machine damage on the obverse.
I like state quarters. After filling up my Whitman folder, I eventually branch out to collect state quarter errors. They are very fun to collect...
Very nice triple struck NY state quarter error. 2nd and 3rd off center at 45%. Positioned to show 2 statues of liberty. Great coin.
Nice multi-struck NH state quarter. 2nd and other strucks at around 50% off center. Positioned great to show 2 sets of images.
+1 greaser. Would be interesting if the grease is on the reverse side.
Agree with others that the coin is simply damage, environmental or circulation. Keep searching. You may find something nice.
