Pretty coin. I'll guess 64.
Storage is a big part of it. These dollars don't like humidity, temperature changes or holder changes. They seem to tone really fast.
Back on track again. It's follow the date or the coin type. [IMG] [IMG]
A 64 Franklin would play.;)
Back on track. It's anything dated 1954 or a Franklin. [IMG] [IMG]
Pretty coin.
XF, Look at the fields. The luster is gone.
Yes. Take it to a coin shop. An in hand opinion is better than opinions from images.

The 1842 was cleaned at some point but still a nice looking coin for the grade.
It's not really the grade as much as the value. It's going to cost about $40 to $50 per coin and you will have to join PCGS or have a local dealer...
Same here. It looks cleaned as well. Much of the luster is gone. I'm wondering if there is some PVC of the coin.
Rick's books are great. Well worth the cost if you plan to collect Flying Eagles or IHCs. Fun guy to chat with and he loves to share his knowledge.
my plastic fork never melted... I've been using the same one for months... lol I don't soak the fork, just the coin. That's good. Most plastics...
Nice coins.
