Bad news. Paul Cunningham got back with me. He feels the plaque is just something that was put together. Not the real deal. I trust he is correct....
It's just damage. Something hit the coin.

Looks like a really well matched set. The holder must have helped it have that look. The 1950 is the money coin.
The plaque is about 28x22 inches. The Lincoln medal is about 6 inches and is mounted into the back of the plaque with screws. Something is not...
