You will find a lot of newer dimes that have this look. Many are struck really well.
I wonder why there were so many of these in the 60s. I'll guess the design change had something to do with it.

It looks real to me from the one image. I don't see enough wear to account for the weight difference. I would double check the scale to be sure...
