Have you ever seen a die crack that looks like that? Why is the coin a different color on both sides of the line going across the line?

Looks like a stain on the OP coin to me. The lines look too smooth to be a crack.
The listing states. "You are buying a beautiful proof coin very similar to the pictures."
The mint made several packages like this. You almost destroy the package getting the coin out.

Yes. Take them out of the albums. Can't see much of the Lincoln album but many of the early dates could probably use a better holder.
