I did a little olive oil cleaning this morning, I'll get some acetone today, then I'll re-post it, arrows show the area where the strike...
Its like little pieces of coal, very hard ..
Anyway to clean it up, its a nice strike through, or dropped element error, big one too ...
Anybody know of a way to get the black stuff off the obverse, I've heard of using olive oil ?
It looks like something fell on the planchet before it got struck, something gold looking, must of really heated up to ..

The doubling runs west to east, theres no die chip inside that " 9 " thats the doubling going on..
