Here's a 2000 I own . I think what your seeing here on the OP coin, is just the lettering wearing down on AM ....

ANACS didn't grade it . The slab say corroded/tooled and thats not a grade .. It's the same as if it were in a pcgs slab that says " Genuine "...
I really never paid much attention to the ear . Not really sure, maybe the grinder busted loose on the guy .
