They don't actually melt the 40% coins. It's too much work. In fact my old gold/silver guy said he doesn't send in the 90% to melt. He just buys...
No silver dollar of that type from that year. That coin is a fake. It's not silver.
It's not a transitional error. The nickel is still an alloy. It transitioned from 75% copper and 25% nickel to 56% copper 35% silver and 9%...
If you got 1 out of 2 you are doing OK and ahead of the game. The nickel can't be an error like that. Drop the nickel in a glass jar with a lid...
You will never find a real 1804 dollar. But millions of fakes.
What is considered the 6th step? Above or below the 5 steps in the box. I may not have been 67 (Jeffersons are tough to grade) but I was 66 FS....
I think it is graded correctly. Nice one.
I skipped a year. I won't be 60 until 2021.
42 years? I graduated in 1978, do I have something to look forward to next year?

I'm looking at a chart that says they printed this note until 10-66. And the 1950 E also. http://www.uspapermoney.info/general/chron_s.html
Here is a 16-D you can compare it to. What is the weight of your coin? [ATTACH]
Coloring/patina looks wrong. I am not even convinced it is silver. Still waiting for the weight.
$21. Circulated and common. Sorry for the low value, that's what the price guide says. Currency guide does say $22, but in this wretched...
Coin was not minted in Philadelphia, that's where they hand punched the MM into the die. Or what Lawtoad just said.
The bottom one is not white enough on the edge to be silver. They are both probably clad.
You can claim "weak strike" but this 100+ year coin lightly circulated, it's not a true MS. It's doubtful it was pulled the first day it saw...
Were they weighed in the air tites?
