Does anyone know what kind of magnifier the graders use to examine a coin??
Thanks alyss would that include the "slab"?
:woot::woot:
I coat mine with Peter Pan peanut butter, it doesn't do anything, but they taste better!
Curious, what is the average cost to have a coin graded...without a tiered acct...I'm not a dealer.
61 with the marks...62 with the nice cotton blossoms.
RePunchedDate...got it

What a bargain! send out some pics when you get it! $40.00 for 40 years...what more could a guy ask for?
jtlee, great coin, although I don't collect pennies...did you take the pictures?
KO, I am new to coin collecting (numismatics), but rule #1 is: NEVER clean a coin...rule #2 is: refer back to rule #1.
Not only did she/he clean it, but it appears to be harshly cleaned! Prior to that, I think it would have graded around 61 or 62...what say others?
Huge mistake! even for a beginner like me...what do you mean by "very dirty"?
Very exciting isn't it? Good for you and happy birthday!
Thanks love, I was reading that this am.
I'm gonna guess the 83-o will grade about AU-55 or MS-60
What causes the toning on these? I'm a newbie collector and learning a lot from Coin Talk.
