That all depends on where you live. My area has barely seen 2019 coins. Other more populated areas the new coins show up in January or February.

Time to learn. Start with your Red Book. One thing to look for is the top of the last 8 is flat. Your coin is worn but in hand it should show.
Check out the US Mint web site under Presidential Medals. Only in bronze. Medals are okay to have living presidents but not coins.

Use a 2 x 2 or a flip. Grading is out of the question. Very nice but they won't grade high enough.
