Have you ever looked at a leak in a copper pipe? Same color. It's the copper.
You're like me, just move onto a new series and start collecting. I tend to but the most expensive coins first as they are the most difficult to find.
So true.

Damaged. It was hit by another coin.
Not seeing anything.
Damaged after it left the Mint.
That's for Railroad. It's common and used exclusively by a railroad company.
That's a woodie. It's an improper mix of the metals. Very nice find.
Nice find.
Excellent finds! If that's a 1916 check it for the 16/16. That was an overdate year. There is a slight price difference if it is an overdate. Hehehe
Good eye Mayela! Look closely and you can see a small part of the tie. Probably struck through grease or debris or a worn die.
I haven't seen one of these yet but that looks like part of the design. You know, like a 3-D image.
That's not Doubling but maybe a small die chip.
It's within tolerance so nothing special. Welcome to CT.
NAV Doubling and glad you got a first for silver in change.
If you spent $8.00 on that coin then it worth $8.00. To anyone else it's worth fifty cents.
A very small rim cud.
It's MD and that corrosion makes it worth one cent.
