Depends on what is on the coin that you are trying to remove. As far as safety, acetone should be used in a ventilated area away from possible...

If a coin shows a little luster, and I think this one does, 35-40 is about as low as you can go. At least that's my understanding.
Low to mid AU. Most likely cleaned but not harshly. I think the tpg'ers should OK it. Attractive.
