There is not a 3 under the 2. That is a design characteristic of the doubled master die obverse. The reverse is DDD.

I read a small write up years ago of a 69S DDO that had MD. It was still undetermined that it was a DDO because of the excess MD.
Personally I am thinking a D/S but there is enough damage that I am not sure anyone could nail it down with out seeing it in hand.

Same here. One thing you can use to quickly eliminate a DDO/DDR. If the MM has the same doubling as the devices, you can rule it out.
Who was the TPG and what did it grade?
I personally wouldn't agree with the grade I voted unless an in hand look at the coin changes my mind. But I think that the Jeff is border 68 due...
