They need to be a MS-68 or higher. I bought this from my local coin shop. And yes, that's the price I paid. Grading fees cost more than that....
1964 and before is silver. 1965 to date is clad coinage. Edited to add: that is for Dimes, Quarters and Halves for circulation and some US Mint...
