Anytime I see a whitish looking haze amidst the area in question I think of unstruck luster. Not really die deterioration, or struck thru. Weak...
Another hint Dan. See that ridge ring around the perimeter of the cent? That look only exist on a heavily deteriorated die.
The type 2 Ike is common. And the wheat cent is damaged it was smashed by something.
When I was searching this button I had a real hard time finding a match, found a couple that were close but not a match.
