The original coin above is not uncirculated. So, it should get a high AU rate. IMO

Does the lamination go from rim to rim?

Nice coins. I was just lucky to get one. I only collect from uncleaned coin lots. Clean them and hope for something nice. I haven't been doing it...

I have one that I still haven't completely attributed. All I can get is Byzantine 1/2 Follis. ANNO TES.[ATTACH] [ATTACH]

It will sometimes make a steel look like copper depending upon the background.
Sometimes I use a toothpick to get crud out of tight places.
