As I understand it a coin graded (let's say) MS-64 with a green CAC sticker would be equivalent to a MS-64+ or a MS-64 star. In other words a VERY...
If your image is a scan then the opinions are about right. But if it's a photograph then I see it as a DETAILS coin (dipped).
$400 for a MS-62 is a GOOD price. Your original problem was mostly that it wasn't slabbed.
IMO too much "noise" on the cheek. I'd say either MS-61 or -62 (more likely a -62).
Well, for me the show was a total washout. I got nothing. Most of what I was looking for I couldn't find. And the few items I did find were higher...
Walk over to the Inner Harbor; use the Sky Ramps. Large food court; lots of options; not expensive. As for the show, spend at LEAST one hour just...

My good stuff is in a safe deposit box at my bank. It's only the inexpensive items I keep at home ... in a 2-hour safe. For the best rates from...
Your question is being asked and discussed more and more often. People I talk to generally prefer the high grade AU coin over the low grade MS...
My standard response. For that much money I won't bid/buy unless the coin is slabbed.
I am VERY pro Registry Set. Why? Because buying a bunch of coins to sock away in some storage facility is ridiculous. I take pictures of my coins...
