Wow, 900 notes. I've never heard of this "type" of collection....I wish him luck.
I would only keep these 6,400,000 (single print run) notes in CH-CU condition. IB-F (dc) ID-D (fw) IE-E (dc) IF-I (fw) IH-B (dc) II-B (fw) IL-F...
....while I have your attention, how about an elusive 81A Dallas Star. Another note from the "Cigar City" collection [IMG]
Nice notes Clay....the strap look like series 2006. Here's one for Chris, (Krispy) a 1985 $1 St Louis Star...from the "Cigar City" Collection [IMG]
Let's add a low serial numbered $100 Star with Exceptional Paper Quality. This one is for RickieB, since I know he likes New York Stars; [IMG]
PLUS 1....gr8te thread Rickie....it's time for a WEB-PRESS STAR; [IMG]
These 1999 Richmond star sheets are the only series stars sheets for the one dollar denomination I've seen for modern-era (1963 thru current)...
Some nice finds, especially at face. I've heard the "corner missing" on $2's is a superstitious thing for some people.
Time for a brown seal Star; [IMG] You can read more about STAR NOTES here; http://www.uspapermoney.info/general/number.html
Some more of my favorites..... [IMG]
Got one of the new sheets about a week ago...... [IMG]
Great Boston Star Rickie.......can we post more than once ? One of my favorites; [IMG]
Awesome presentation. A couple of books I recently purchased (Bureau of Engraving and Printing 100 Years & The Story of the American Bank Note...
Well spoken. It's all good with me, although I feel a little lost when ya'll start chattin' it up about the round, metal discs....
Nice LT's Bert...I especially like the 63 star.
I would advise against spending $100 for the above 12 notes. (in other words, I wouldn't)
The serial numbers are ordinary. The Silver Sertificates are common, even the stars. The 35H* would have been the most valuable note of the bunch...
I like it more Matt. Teller stamps, or whatever the mark was, is history to some, but too me it was a distraction......kinda like if a note had...
Given the condition,( folds, holes, rounded corners) probably not much over face. It is a radar note, so if you like it, and can afford to tuck it...
I agree Matt....the biggest difference I noticed is; " The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City Missouri " is darker on the before note.
Separate names with a comma.
