I checked google images and you may be right. I can see it on a bunch of the results.

Could be a struck through thread or wire error, which doesn't add much premium, or it may just be a scratch. Can't quite tell. Keep up the hunt!
Dropped letters are INCUSE on the coin so it cannot be that. It could be a die chip.
