Mechanical doubling on obverse and reverse with master die doubling on the D of GOD. No premium. Keep up the hunt!
I think it is just a circulated coin. The M should be centered between the A and E on the WAM...it does not appear to be so in the pics provided.
I think it is just a circulated coin. If it was a WAM, the distance between the A and M would be the same as the distance between the M and E.
Coins are only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I would pay you 10 cents for both. There's no "problem" with him wanting to buy it, as...
I could see a $10-15 coin in that condition if it was a no FG. I have sold ones in that condition in that range.
I would also say that no, this one would not qualify as a "no FG".
Looks like a struck-through grease. :thumb:
Someone took 2 coins, stacked them, put them on a hard surface, and hit them with a hammer, thus getting the incuse/mirrored design on the reverse...
The E of ONE took a hit.
Pmd.
It's worth 1 cent, seeing as how it is damaged.
The lack of full rims on the obverse indicates damage done outside the mint.
Nice clash, but I don't think it's a counter-clash. Looks fairly typical to me.
For $7 I would have picked it up, too! Very nice despite the hole.
Shows how much I know. I don't even know where the mintmark is! :o
Tell him with the initial investment, you could find coins and jewelry that could pay off the price of the detector. And the better the detector...
I think I see a Blakesley Effect. I would say yes, clipped. As to what it is worth, a few bucks on ebay.
Nice ones! Here is mine...I hope you don't mind if I post it. [IMG]
I see no notching...I would say no DDO.
Maybe it is a plating blister or a tiny die chip where the arrow is pointing. But I don't think the coin is a DDR.
