I can't think of anything more American than a coin with a man-alligator on one side and the world's largest fry pan on the other. :D
EDIT: I think the person was just joking with you. I'm not seeing any results on google from "hammer T variety".
Wish I could have been there. Looks like it was a blast. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Looks like the coin took a hit (damaged). Keep up the hunt!
But what happens if you drop your air-tite and the coin scoots under the fridge?
I would guess that it is some sort of epoxy residue left over from 2 other coins being stuck to it. I would imagine that a quick soak in acetone...
Here are a few pieces from my collection. This is by no means my whole collection...I've got a shelf-full of fossils and meteorites. But from left...
I'm not a fan of Barbers personally, but they are popular and abundant in all grades from what I have seen, so putting together most of the set...

Can't we just wait for new pics to be posted? That will tell us once and for all if the coin is a doubled die or not. All this extra banter is...
Nope. Markers mean nothing if the doubling is not exactly the same. Keep up the hunt!
Coins776 paid $5 for a lot of foreign coins. Deceptive description of the item (but nothing against the ebay rules). He wanted a refund, something...
So you never went to the police to try and get your $5 back?
Definitely not F12... G details IMO.
It's damaged. Keep up the hunt!
I'm not seeing a doubled die. Have you read up on sites like coppercoins.com and doubleddie.com on how to differentiate between a true doubled die...

Then I think you have a little more to worry about than your coins...
Are you inferring that the coin pictured is less than MS?
Separate names with a comma.
