I have two guesses: 1. They used a coin/ coins of Legio VI as the model for this issue 2. The coins of Legio VI were the most common at the time...

I believe that they may have used water, and suspect that they used very shortsighted people to be celators.
I can verify that there is a scent, and it does smell like maple syrup when it is heated up...
I would say Real, XX Legion, with a value at $200 to $300 [~150 to 200 pounds], if not more. I would have this moved to the Ancient and World...
