Thanks so much for the lead. The site will only allow me to click on the reverse trail die, not the obverse. Could be a glitch but I'm getting...
Good link above Danny. What you have, quite simply, is (MD) machine doubling, not the big one.
It should weigh 2.70 grams, so it could be from some thicker stock.
Nothing in my 2017 sets but did find a doubled die Homestead quarter in my 2015 Mint Set.
At first I thought you were talking food, and then realized I just had a senior moment.;)
The obverse kind of looks like the beginnings of a Pinocchio. Lol.
My collection is rather small overall. I do collect the large "Horse Blankets' as they used to be called. (U.S. large notes) I have some gold...
Very sorry to hear about your Dad. Wishing you and yours the best and prayers sent. I lost my Dad to Multiple Myeloma in 1995.

Trail Die Obverse my dear. Sorry I was not more specific.

What you have is called the "Formative Years" cents. This was one of four different designs issued in 2009 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of...
I can say I've learned something new today. Never heard of anyone using fractional grading before. ( I don't get out much, lol.) Very interesting.
If referring to the two on the left, these were included in Mint Sets many years ago to fill out the set. They are tokens.
There are also a lot of broad strikes from the era Fred mentioned.
Hi there! It's awfully tough to get a MS67 grade on most of these as they were known to have been poorly struck in general and also were shipped...
I am sorry and in error about the link I posted to you. It should have been www.briansvarietycoins.com. Brian Ribar does nickels, John Wexler does...
