A great find for a 103 year old coin. The mintages on these are very high and with the wear, maybe two cents.

Harshly cleaned is the best description you could use on that poor coin.
NGC is tougher on grading, especially Nickels. PCGS cost more than when you sell but PCGS slabs retail for more.
Someone tried and failed as that is clearly damage after it left the mint.
