It’s a long distance between that coin and a proof one.
Yes but I wasn’t interested. It was over 25 years ago and I felt it was too much.
Definitely polished
Very nice and I would have bought it as well. Spend less between now and the Chicago show. :)
That’s heat damage was stated.
Looks like they were polished right off of the die. Nice find and post more often. :)
Nice job and respects to you for the way you handled this. Also respects to him for the way he responded.
Whatever it takes to run a little water on the coin.
Thanks that helped. See those lines that are on the surface in the fields. They are caused by a worn die.
Try some plain tap water to see if makes it stand out a little more. Pat dry, don’t rub. Lol
Some people never learn.
It looks like a 1925-D to me.
Not in the best of shape but that is a nice find and should have a small premium due to the overall condition.
I wonder if he felt it was worth the time and effort he put into doing that.
It would help to have photos of the entire coin, both sides.
I wish you did as well. Those numbers could mean so many things. Some counter stamps can be traced but others can not.
Mine is only a 55 but it’s a gem.
What it is is neat and interesting.
Older paper money with a higher grade that’s labeled EPQ or PPQ are the best. [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH]
Not until the 1960’s. They had 2 digit postal zones before that.
Separate names with a comma.
