It looks like it is missing the clad layer...can you weigh it? The post office should be able to weigh it for you.... What does the other side...
When shipping is that much I wouldn't even buy the coin unless it was high grade and I could still make a dollar on it. Speedy
It would have to be Problem coins (such as cleaned...etc) for my collection...when I get them I always resell them. Speedy
I couldn't say for sure....it would be best I think to look at coin shows and shops...my dealer has 2 right now but they both grade AG.... Speedy

I have seen proof too...BUT most of the O mint coins I have looked at are weak in the strike and most of the books and articles I have read also...

From the photo it looks fine....in 1988 (and years before) they didn't make the dies like they do now. they "punched" (for lack of a better word)...
