now I'm no expert but the "toning" on the front looks like something that was spilled on the coin..it doesn't look like toning...I maybe wrong....

Well...part of that is right... Wheat cents are not made from valuable metal...but the quarter,half, and dollar are..(before 1964) the nickel...
