Exactly. I buy graded because I want it that way. I buy raw for the same reason.
In my opinion, anymore 1933 good coin is good. Coins in general are not good investments but it you pick the right one and hold for a long time...

It’s either a weakly struck coin or it had a very small amount of wear on the high spots. Very nice looking.
PCGS is what I buy the most, followed by NGC, then ANACS. I don’t submit coins to be graded, I buy them graded.
Instead of a gold Eagle have you considered a gold coin, pre 1933 of course?

I’d buy the sets and break apart. Watch for milk spots on the coins before purchasing them.
