Very nice coin IMO.
I think he may mean overlit.
Sounds like you got a great deal! I like the coin. The carbon spots and overall look make me think MS62. Could be a red if that's the actual color...
Sweet deals!
It all goes back to my difficulty in grading these copper nickel beauties. They show wear differently than silver coins, and in high grade I have...
Think I got fooled by that eagle. Every feather is HAMMERED! But the reverse is softer, as are the obverse letters.
There were 5 of them in that lot. I sold 2 at auction raw, 2 graded F12, and one graded XF45. Time to move on though... to find the next big thing.

I just found out my CAC results. I sent 3 of these Flying Eagle Cents to CAC. Two of them CAC'd with a green sticker. These were covered in green...
Very old. It's been like 4 years now.

It'll get you a decent Walking Liberty Half for free!
I only had $133 in eBay bucks, but that means I only had to pay $32 for this Dansco 7070 type set. 25 cheap, but cool old coins and I got a rare...
I just got my NGC grades on these, so they won't be back in my hands until about July 8th, but I'm listing them here first. Insured Priority mail...
Fact: I have never submitted a raw Morgan that came back DMPL. I've only ever gotten PL's.
Was praying for a DPL on that 82 CC, but the numerical grades fell exactly where I hoped/predicted.
Well, I got 1 MS65, and the 1882 CC got a PL instead of a DMPL, but I'm still happy. [ATTACH]
