Yes it does look odd. It’s the perfect place for a bubble to burst causing zinc rot. I sure hope they are not using zinc on cents in 20008. Lol

They ate a terrible looking coin. The design is okay but could be better. The zinc core with a thin copper coating is what makes it poor.
