It looks like an 1817/10 or the other way around
Classic head half cents were made until 1836 could this be a Classic haf cent date punched into a classic head cent date
It could be remember this was made more than 200 years ago anything could happen.
That was my first thought thanks for your opinion i can see why with not close enough examination it appears to be a 1813 which is what the seller...
at the end of post 3 he clearly said his father had some fakes too this is one of his.

look closer I think I see an over date but it seems to be just damage.

nope can care less to modern you can buy a nice double eagle for that much and it will never let you down in the long run

The corrosion is hiding alot of detail
I'm thinking Vg-detais corrosion/when it arrives can I do anything to try to get more detail or let it be the way it is
Recent certified auction sales by grade what would you grade it its already going to be a details grade its better than G[ATTACH]
I'm only looking at the top one/base which is normal/regular nothing special i think.
