    No. VG, F at best. (Just my opinion) Also, if that is a scratch across Monticello, then it is VG-details (which is bad).

    Has this 1857 Large Cent been Recolored?

    I didn't think about it being counterfeit. It looks correct. However the 1857 is the lowest mintage Braided Hair Liberty Head Large Cent, 333,000.
