These are considdered MAD Errors. That stands for Mis-Allined-Dies <Sp?>. The dies weren't centered over each other rigth and so the one side...

I think it has been cleaned. The ones who see it in hand should be able to see the detail, and collor better, and tell you yes or no. Speedy
Both photos of your Large "S" look like the same style of Mintmark. One might look alittle bolder but the same style. The Small S as those notches...
