I think it is harshly cleaned. There is shine but not luster. But maybe I'm wrong.
The seated quarter doesn't do anything for me. It's nice, but not worth a premium for my tastes. Album toning rainbows will catch my interests....

The colors are normal for Indian Cents. But the shiny area on the feathers did give me pause. I don't have it in hand yet. Could be a lighting...
You guys have inspired me to send it in for grading. In about 5 weeks you can either eat crow or watch me bow to your almighty toning knowledge. :p

It's genuine IMO. Look at the rim cuds on both sides. Ya don't see those on fakes.
