You need to make a choice. Modern Notes? Obsolete Notes? Bank Notes? CSA Notes? Error Notes?
I strongly doubt acetone will help. It won’t hurt the coin to try but I’d leave it as is.

It’s a 1973 so no plating but I do know what you mean.
You can usually do better in the after market than direct from the mint.
