The date looks really wrong to me. It doesn't look good at all. I would guess altered date from an 1905 and then messed up to make it look more...
yeah it's definitely circulated from those pictures, maybe even lightly cleaned.

I disagree with that completely coleguy. You have to pay a fair price for key date coins and 50-60% percent is not fair. Any respectable dealer...
It looks to me that the coin has been cleaned at some point already. At least from those pictures.
I agree with scottishmoney on 1796. Hands down IMHO.
I'd like to see the reverse as well, but it sure looks like it was struck through something, most likely a late stage die cap.
