Totally agree...but folks will just ASSUME or ask questions or try and link it. Nothing could change...hell, grading standards could get...
Not in any great quantity, I admit. But we've all seen the threads on Gradeflation with actual coins with actual grades going up sometimes 2 full...
A real hot potato going forward will be the buyout of CLCT, PCGS's parent. Justified or not, if there are any high-profile reports of misgrading...

But isn't there the "doubt" factor that once you confirm that something is in fact an MS63 (and not 1 or 2 grades lower), it pays for the TPG...
I do detect less of an inistence among forum members here and elsewhere to MUST be in PCGS. Not so among Big Time Heavy Hitters.

My guess is that if CAC considered it very high quality for the grade it's not a surprise that it grabbed a 1/2 grade increment, that's all.

If he's within 5% or so of recent auction prices that's acceptable to me. You don't want to pay an extra 25-35% like you see on some of these...
