In most states I think you can but you’d loose a lot of money by doing so.
Looks real to me, just damaged from the environment. A coin that was turned into a pendant and lost.
This looks different than the first photos attached. I still thinks it’s been altered. Even if it’s original it’s not worth the cost to conserve it.
