NICE! I go a step further, I use heavy ziplock bags to put the coins in first, put the desiccant inside the bag, then the tupperware.
Agree, harshly cleaned....bummer.
Whatever you do, don't attempt to clean it or retone it!

An acid-thiourea dip like EZest. Anything else will probably be futile.
I recommend the Cowans brand. The others are cheap and tear apart.
