p.s. FWIW, I buy two types of coins -- expensive ones (to me), and cheap ones. Because the expensive coins are, well, expensive, I don't buy them...
A wise man once told me: Judge a numismatist's collection not by its value, but rather by the care and dedication it took to assemble.
In many ways, your guesses are worth more. ;) If I might be so bold... Who cares what the TPG grades the coin (unless you are selling ;) ) --...
p.s. what nicks and hits? I see a lot of jpeg compression, and possibly a small hit on each arm -- and nothing to preclude a gem grade.

Wow, just as I'm typing my reply above you post the pics! What timing! Looking at the pics, I'd expect that coin would holder, although I...

p.p.s. Here are pics of the clad ones: [img] [img]

p.s. GDJMSP grade = AU 58 for reverse breast wear. :D
Color me confused. In the latest photo, the cheek/fields look clean enough to warrant a 64 or even better. Hmmm.....
(DLRC) Scans are notoriously tough to grade. That said, I'd guess 64 from the scan, but typically overgrade on them, so I'm going to guess 63.
