    I have to say that both look like genuine, unplated errors. I think can see cartwheel luster in the pictures, something that is completely lacking...

    does a major die clash bring a premium at all?

    100% PMD Clashes do NOT show any signs on the design high points, it would be impossible since those areas are recessed into the die.

    1955-S Wheat Pennies

    5 cents is the normal, retail price for avg circ wheat cents.....the 55-S is an average year. These only go into the >$1 area when they are MS red.
