Both photos make your coin look a little elongated. Don't know if it's looks that way in hand or even if that would cause the damage.
No comment re the coin being fake or real. IMO Using PCGS photograde the obverse looks like F-15 and reverse looks VF-30

Beautiful coin. If it were mine I'd have it authenticated and graded BY PCGS or NGC. There's so much counterfeit copper and they're getting better...
