Yes. the 1943 cent was minted using zinc plated steel. The blanks were punched after the steel was plated.
I'm not seeing it. I am seeing a plating issue. Is it replated? You can tell by looking at the edge. When minted, the edge was not plated.
The one you've shown us is not rare or valuable. It's just a well circulated quarter. Don't give up the hunt. Check your in box.
