I have always wanted to attend the FUN Show. After this thread, it's on my bucket list.
He's been pushing it for years. The hobby just isn't buying it as the current system works just fine.
You may remove the spots, but the surface underneath will not match the rest of the coin. You'll trade in white spots for different colored spots.

I have assembled a set of 1962 Proof coins (my birth year) in NGC PF-68 Ultra Cameo. Most of them cost more than a set would cost raw.

Look at 1926-S Buffalo Nickels. Some Mint State coins lack a full horn. You just have to know yur coins and which ones are known for good strike...
