Easily worth what you gave for it. Pictures still aren't the best, but I'd say 63 with a shot at 64.
I think you guys are mighty generous. I would say no better than a 63.
I would call it VG worth around 150 retail.
I reported it as such.
Very nice.
Thanks again PennyGuy.
Thanks. I was really surprised when I found it. It was in with a bag of crusty wheat pennies that also included a silver dime from 1952.
Thanks PennyGuy. Should I try to clean the gunk off of it or leave it alone?
I believe I have found the same token, but the picture won't come up for me to be sure. The description certainly matches....
It is my understand a lot of merchants had these made because coins were in short demand.
I need help possibly identifying this token. I found it in a bag of old wheat pennies. The obverse say Chas. F. Raker - Dealer in dry goods...
Beautiful coin. I don't see any reason why it would go any lower than 65.
Agreed. I was really hoping to see a nice MS coin.
Actually it kind of looks like what we used to do to our pennies when I was a kid with a pencil eraser.
Why on earth would someone do this to this coin....
What non cents said. It could be worth anywhere from $30 to $100,000 depending on condition. Whatever you do do not clean the coin in any way....
Actually I think it's a braided hair , but you did alright.

I'm not criticizing you're coin in any way, but if I ever send any Franklins in for certification I will definitely send them to PCGS.
Unless this is a trick question, not more than $10 to $15. Not really acquainted with Barbers, don't care for them.
