gorgeous quarters
TabbyCat, I don't know if you've read much about the "no cents" nickel, but story is that they were gold plated and passed to recent immigrants...
Well gosh, I think that I like the 2nd one! Guess that makes me contra everyone else, but I'm OK with that!
Only thing I write on penny rolls now is, "PRE '82"!

See the two dark dimples in the "O"? Imagine a crater with raised ridges around it. Now imagine two of them next to one another. I'm not certain...
To me, it looks like two punches have raised a ridge between them.
Funny, the bag marks don't bother me that much. So, what did you pay for it?
I don't think that anything there is authentic. Even the fakes are fakes.
Does the mark look like oriental characters? No not like Charlie Chan, but more like 读

While not specific, this article may be interesting:...
found this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Mu%27izz_li-Din_Allah but the coin looks to me to be Indian. I dunno.
Not to intrude into your post, but here's a CW token that I've got. Looks like for some reason the date is gouged off. You can still see 1863. but...
If it isn't legit, I don't see any indication. It is really harshly cleaned though. Pretty noticeable edge bang @ 3 o'clock obverse. EF+ features?
The coin from the grassy knoll?
It wouldn't be pretty, but Helen Thomas!
