i've just found out in the last few days thanks to John Anthony, that i have a Trajan drachm that is a strike-over on a Nabataean...
our cointalk participants said.... DING! Gallienus![ATTACH]
naww, i'm cn thangs. but i haven't found a sest. yet with the deity sitting facing right like mine.
hahaha, that's about one of the best meme's i've ever seen!><
now that's ol Hern hisself there:) nice coin~
you know, i'm looking at my 1st posted and the deity may very well be playing a lyre.. im not sure. i'll have to check and see
hey! you tryin' 2 make a lyre out that coin?><
that's what it look like to me... but she's on both emperors coins
hahaha! you've got lots invested in him monetarily and emotionally><
now this is a Gallienus right? i'm supposing by the beard..
i got it.. but i don't if it is for sure Hern Etruscas or not, we are debating:)
it stated in the wiki that Hern and Traj were killed by the Goths, i should have put that in there too, but didn't.
according to wiki, the 1st emperor in die in battle was Hern. Truscus, followed by dad later the same day or soon after.(confirmed kills)
haha! that sounds better,"cheap for" i.e. bugatti mercedes etc..
that's what my doubting thomas part keeps saying too:)
that "poor man's Otho" is a misnomer for there is no such critter. nice coin of ol' Otho.
This coin as given me fits, but today i think i figured out what it is. He was the 35th Augustus in 251, ruling jointly with his father Tajan...
cnoevil...
lol, right now Mat, i just wish i had one period.
i believe i've got one of those chimera type coins, what do you think?[ATTACH]
