I will bet that "scratch" on the obverse is either a die crack or a strike through.
Corrosion or separation of layers are both a form of PMD and neither will show anything on the opposite side.
I cannot see that being a die break. I more suspect the rest of your coin being trashed is your answer. That is probably either zinc corrosion...

FWIW, silver coins is going for about 17.5 times face. That gives you $42 worth of silver alone.
I think even mat's number is a bit high. I would not go over $100. Bear in mind that most of what you are describing has little numismatic value...
